Audio is disabled. Please try to choose a different device or samplerate.
I don't understand where it's determining a 6ms latency, but if that could actually be the case then it would be perfect. Thanks for the help.
Let me know if there's any additional information I should provide. Thanks for the tips, everyone.
Help with Reaper, Scarlett 2i2, and Focusrite USB ASIO - Audiofanzine
I figured it out. Then I just had to manually turn the Realtek speakers back on in the control panel not sure how they got switched off in the first place.

It's an ugly mess, but it works. And the latency is virtually unnoticeable. Thanks again for the help! Yes, that is an ugly solution. Hi there! First post focusrite scarlett 2i2 asio here. First of all, I'd like to say that I'm happy to have bought Reaper after reading up on some reviews and I'm really excited to get the hang of it.
After years of contemplating and playing in several bands but always being rather skeptical of my playing abilities I finally decided to go out and buy some home-recording gear to focusrite scarlett 2i2 asio and create some self-produced tunes. Anyhow, I cleaned up my computer, bought and interface and a mic, bought me a license for Reaper, but sadly I ran into an issue.
I have tried a different USB port, and a different cable. Last edited by jimly; at AM. Sounds like an ASIO driver issue Seeing focusrite scarlett 2i2 asio several people seem to report the same problem today, maybe it's worth trying to set the date back, to see if there is some date limit in their ASIO driver. I dont care to use focusrite anymore Mac is better for them.
IF they are 32 bit, then get a 32 bit version of reaper and try a portable install of that I realize these are all 'shots in the dark' but maybe they will lead to enough info to find what the problem is Thanks for the focusrite scarlett 2i2 asio. I tried an older version of Reaper, same problem. I just tried Audacity, no problem using my Scarlett 2i4.
I really don't get it,for 3 years Reaper,Asio and Focusrite worked great together. Last night everything was fine, this morning they are not getting along.

Wasapi seems to work fine. Quite the head scratcher. Any downside to using Wasapi instead of Asio that anyone is aware of? I would appreciate your responses. Try a different USB cable. They shipped one to focusrite scarlett 2i2 asio for free and everything works again perfectly!

I have the exact same problem using my trusty E-Mu and Reaper 4.Jan 11, 1st Generation Scarlett Solo, 2i2 and 2i4 customers should remove earlier '2.x' and '3.x' focusrite scarlett 2i2 asio manually from Control Panel > Programs and. ASIO4all is designed for units that do not have native ASIO Device Drivers, like which should read "Focusrite" or the unit's name such as "Scarlett" "Saffire".
